I think either a weekly or bi-weekly email would be great! I don’t like to miss any, which I feel I do with the monthly, but I understand it’s more work to send out even more recaps. If once a week or every two weeks is too much to add to your plate, I totally get it! But that’s what I think I’d prefer.
Personally, I have the Substack app on my phone and often visit specifically to catch up on new articles from writers I follow, so I haven't found that I'm missing anything. Substack is really clear about indicating which articles you've read (or % complete) and which you haven't in your inbox. I really like the monthly recap emails!
Thank you! You know, it would probably be worthwhile for me to download the app and actually get a feel for what things are like in there. I am such a browser-based creature 😅
Honestly, same. I hear it's something about our generation 😹 I downloaded Substack at the same time that I uninstalled Instagram--- I figure if I'm going to look at my phone for dopamine I may as well read something worthwhile. I'm still figuring it out, but it seems to be uniquely good at prioritizing the work of people you follow v. an algorithm of 'recommendations'
Just a heads up, I just learned that the Substack inbox (both desktop/web and mobile app) functions off of the email list. I was confused as to why I saw your Feb wrap-up in my app inbox, but none of the posts you wrote this month were delivered to me. Turns out, you have to 'email' the post out for it to come to the in-app inbox as well.
This is enough for me to change my vote from once per month to an email per post. I thought thought that as a paid sub, I would see all of your work in my app if not in my actual email, but that doesn't seem to be the case. I want to be notified every time you post!
Whatever is easiest and most sustainable for you! I have the app on my phone which helps a lot, but don’t mind emails with each new post either. It takes a lot to get me to subscribe to a blog, and if I’m going so far as subscribing, it’s because I *want* to read it, and for that to happen, I need to know when there are posts ❤️

Thank you!! I am personally most drawn to the idea of weekly or bi-weekly, too. Some of the monthly ones have been feeling really long 😅

Lil Scout booty!!
I’m at whatever is easiest for you. That said, I somehow had no idea there was a Substack app and that is being added now.

Thank you so so much, Charlotte!!
