We changed our dog training checklists to focus on fulfillment
Shortly after we moved to Florida, I started doing a weekly training checklist to hold myself accountable to using our daily resources—time, Scout’s food rations, our energy, etc—for things that would truly impact our life together.

When we started box feeding in October 2020, I stopped the checklists because all of Scout’s kibble came through the box for the first month or so. Today we still box feed on occasion, but we’ve mostly transitioned to feeding her via puzzle toys. Most exciting: We’re able to reward with play in more environments!
