I think healthy relationships are arguably the most important thing for both our development as children and continued growth as we get older.
I’ve been lucky to have multiple incredible relationships in my life so far — friends, family, Haley most special of all — and my connection with our dog, Scout, is one of the most unique. It is such a different dynamic with a canine (unlike the humans in my life, she doesn’t seem to think that not saying many words is “poor communication skills” )
In all seriousness, working on my bond with our cattle dog has given me a broader perspective on how to build strong, healthy relationships between any two creatures in general.
