Q&A from a new cattle dog owner part #3: Fulfillment
When another heeler owner approached me on Instagram and asked if I’d be interested in doing a Q&A blog about life with the breed, I worried I wasn’t qualified. I’m not a professional trainer, nor am I a cattle dog expert. Scout is my first!
But while every dog, owner, and lifestyle situation is different, I think sharing individual experiences can be powerful. I recall so many wonderful owners who encouraged me when I was first starting my journey deeper into the dog world.
With that in mind, I was so excited to see the list of questions Maddie sent my way!
So here it is: a cattle dog / overall dog training Q&A between a new owner and a somewhat-established-but-still-always-learning owner. We’ve split it up into four parts so it isn’t too overwhelming to read all at once. First we talked about getting settled at home, then trust and communication. Now we’re answering questions about biological fulfillment and play! Up next will be nutrition.
