This happened to me tonight (shouting match with an owner of an off-leash dog approaching me and my leash reactive pup). I googled handling off-leash owners and your essay came up. It’s helpful to me and I want to thank you for sharing. Unfortunately, I’ve seen her before and she won’t change her behavior, but I’ll make sure to put my little buddy’s welfare before my ego.
