How does supporting Paws and Reflect work?
Many articles on Paws and Reflect are completely free — along with every single one of our (usually very lengthy) Instagram posts! — but Sean & I also write blogs only supporters can view.
Pay whatever you’re comfortable with
You can sign up above to pay whatever you feel a subscription is worth. Once you do, you’ll get full access to all current supporters-only articles and new pieces added each month. (The different payment tiers get the same access to every article.)
Request a free supporter account
If finances ever become a problem, please get in touch. It’s important to me that everyone who wants to read our content has the opportunity!
Why have a supporter section?
I wrestled with the idea of creating some sort of paywall on Paws and Reflect. Who am I to sell anything? 😬 It feels like such a gift that another dog owner would consider simply reading something I’ve written — let alone pay me to be able to read it.
But the truth is that I put a lot of time and energy into this blog. Adding a supporter option seemed like a reasonable way to work through the associated costs.
Then — as I became increasingly passionate about connecting with fellow dog lovers — I made the decision to leave my agency job in December 2021 to take Paws and Reflect full time. Your support now means more than ever!
Dogs and writing are my two biggest passions, and I am so thankful for the opportunity to bring them together.

What kind of articles are for supporters?
Supporter-only articles on Paws and Reflect have taken a particularly large amount of time and energy. They might:
- Synthesize multiple nuanced ideas
- Share our own “homemade” resources
- Be more deeply personal
I want to be clear that I am not and will never pretend to be a professional dog trainer. I do enjoy learning from multiple sources, exploring available data, mixing that with personal experience, and trying to put it all together for a good life!
I hope to curate information about our own journey in a way that’s helpful for other owners — especially if you feel a bit overwhelmed by the sheer volume of dog content out there.
As always, please reach out to me with any questions you have.
