Your dog is not your mirror
Is your dog your mirror?
This phrase can mean different things to each of us. For me the answer is yes and no.
Scout is absolutely affected by me. (Even more so than some other dog-human teams, given her social sensitivity.) But my dog isn’t a direct reflection of me. She’s an individual creature with a personality, preferences, and experiences all her own.
