Scout regularly joins us at restaurant patios and beaches. She used to attend a weekly yoga class with me. Since embarking on full-time van life, our heeler has visited nearly 30 states and more than a dozen national parks. But we don’t always take her with us — and that’s okay.

Here’s my thought process when I need to decide if I should bring my dog to a given environment!
